I first came in contact with UNIX-like systems at university. Then in 1992 I started using Linux. Happily used it for several years, wrote my master's thesis on it including all the implementation. After that I started using FreeBSD for several years, wrote my PhD dissertation on it, did all related implementation on it. In 2002 I started using NetBSD, have used it exclusively since then. Every year or so I ask myself the "Gretchen" question: should I switch to a different system as my main OS? So far I have yet to find a system that (according to my opinion) has all the advantages of NetBSD.
