The first time I saw a Mac was when I started using them at university in 1991. Prior to that my only exposure to computers was the Apple ][ in school. I bought my first Mac in the fall of 1993. I started learning more about Unix in the mid-90s and decided I enjoyed it, and was very excited when OS X was announced. I've been running some version of Unix on my older Macs since about 2002, when Jaguar wouldn't install on my G3. Belatedly, I discovered A/UX as well, and now I maintain its FAQ list. I've posted a list of my hardware below if you are interested.

I've been using NetBSD since late 2002, if I remember correctly. I installed 1.6 to a Macintosh SE/30. My experience is exclusively with mac68k. As of December 2006, I have between one to three NetBSD boxes at any given time. I've posted a list of my hardware below if you are interested.

I'm intrigued by the whole wiki concept, so I've been helping to kickstart this site by creating templates, stubbing in categories and pages, that sort of thing. I don't claim to be a guru, but I hope my efforts have helped.
