IBM Thinkpad T60
From NetBSD Wiki
IBM Thinkpad T60 made by Lenovo. 2Ghz Centrino Core Duo, 1Gb RAM, Wifi, Bluetooth and Fingerprint reader.
PCMCIA cards will not work with NetBSD 4.0 or 5.0 although Cardbus cards are fine. This is apparently something to do with the IO space being mapped at a too high address. You can arrange for it to be mapped into 12-bit addressable memory by building a kernel with:
options RBUS_IO_BASE=0x0a00
and does seem to alleviate the problem, allowing several PCMCIA and Cardbus cards to work ok, except that one Cardbus USB card I had caused a system panic.
The TPM module does not work.
The fingerprint reader attaches as ugen, and the security/pam-fprint package can use it to provide authentication though currently the chip specification has not been completely reverse engineered and all features are not available.
The Enhanced Speedstep can dynamically adjust the processor speed using sysutils/estd package.
The audio works fine, though I had to set the mixer control:
outputs.lineout=255,255
The Bluetooth works fine.
The WiFi seems to work ok but has a tendency to lose contact with the base station after some period of idleness. An ongoing ping to the base station cured this for me.
I have not used the Ethernet.
I have not tried to suspend to RAM or disk.
I have not tried an external monitor.
I have not tried any ExpressCard devices, though I understand that some may work if they present as USB devices.
Touchpad and Trackpoint both work fine in tandem or individually.
Screen brightness, speaker volume and the keyboard light all work using the function keys.
