Ways to emulate a Pointer Device
In border cases you can still access the pointer device with the keypad by hitting Shift+Num_Lock. If that doesn't work try Shift+Ctrl+Num_Lock, or Shift+Num_Lock then Ctrl+Num_Lock. Some keyboards even have a mouse symbol on the Num_Lock key, others don't have a dedicated Num_Lock key but instead something like the Scroll_Lock combination.
